1. Who We Are

PriceIQ is a software service operated at trypriceiq.com that provides embeddable pricing calculator widgets. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect data from two groups: Account Holders (agencies who sign up) and Widget Visitors (people who interact with the widget on an agency\'s website).

2. Data We Collect

From Account Holders

Account information: Name, email address, password (hashed, never stored in plain text)
Business information: Business name, website URL (optional)
Billing information: Processed and stored by Stripe. We store only your Stripe Customer ID — never your card number or payment details.
Usage data: Widget configurations, lead counts, login activity

From Widget Visitors

Submitted information: Name, email address, and answers to pricing questions — only when the visitor voluntarily submits the form
Technical data: IP address (used only for rate limiting, not stored permanently), source page URL, submission timestamp

We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics on the widget itself. The widget does not track visitors who do not submit the form.

3. How We Use Data

To operate and deliver the Service (widget rendering, lead capture, dashboard)
To send email notifications about new leads to Account Holders
To deliver lead data to webhook endpoints configured by Account Holders
To process payments via Stripe
To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse
To communicate with Account Holders about their account (billing, service changes)

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is shared only with:

Stripe: For payment processing (Account Holder billing data only)
Webhook recipients: Lead data is sent to external URLs configured by the Account Holder (e.g., Zapier, CRM systems). The Account Holder is responsible for the privacy practices of those services.
Infrastructure providers: Our hosting and database providers process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality obligations

5. Data Retention

Account data and leads are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (widgets, leads, account information) will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Stripe may retain billing records per their own retention policy.

6. Data Security

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Database access is restricted and encrypted. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant) and never touches our servers.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Export your lead data
Object to or restrict certain data processing

8. Account Holder Responsibilities

If you embed the PriceIQ widget on your website, you act as a data controller for the lead data collected through your widget. You are responsible for:

Including appropriate privacy disclosures on your own website
Complying with applicable privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) for the data you collect
Ensuring any third-party services you connect via webhooks handle data appropriately

9. Children

The Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered Account Holders of material changes via email. The \"Last updated\" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
